Wow this is really well done! It's so expressive - somehow it reminds me of a mask of innocence. ;)

I like the overall look of this picture, the mask itself is beautiful and I love the hush pose with her finger to her lips. The one constructive thing I have for this is that her right eye is lost in the angle that you shot her at. I think if you would have had both eyes in there, that it would have had even more impact as a photo. Otherwise, very pretty!!

The blue stands out very nicely! It also contrasts well against the skintone. I love the feathers, they look great. :) Wonderful work!

Nice colors.

Good composition overall but I don't like how the feather is cut off at the top. Just a minor detail; not that big a deal.

The first thing that strikes me in this photo is the odd blurring at the bottom? If that a part of the watermark? The blurring compromises the details of the hand.

The lighting is rather strange, casting odd shadows around your neck and highlights on your shoulder. The highlight is particularly distracting due to the composition since it's at the corner. Just something to be careful about in the future. I'm not sure what type of lighting you used but window lighting generally gives very nice even lighting. You can use sheers as diffusers if the light is still too harsh. If you must use studio or indoor light setups, generally for portraits like these, I'd stick with using only 1 light source. Here's a good site to DIY: [link]

Hope this helps :aww:

 Ah - that blurring down there. Umhm... I think I actually put that there, during post-processing. Guess I wanted to go for the whole circum-blur effect. Guess it went kind of wonky.

Yeah, the lighting wasn't very good. I may or may not have had a lamp on. I'll definitely have to try using window lighting; I tried a shoot with them awhile ago, but it had been a really sunny day outside, and it was just a little too much. Ooh, I'll definitely have to try some DIYs (don't have any studio lights :( ).

Oh that definitely helps, thank you very much! & sorry it took so long to respond.

all in all a great photo, but you made the skin around the eyes more blue, right? it may have been better (or more realistic :D) without that, anyway:: nicely done^^

I like the colour of the mask, and it is indeed a spectacular mask indeed, but the eyes behind the mask, freak me out a little bit, I don't know why, but a lovely shot otherwise!

I like the idea and feeling of this picture. Like how the child is speaking with her appearence instead of using words, and the dream-like quality of the ambience.

If anything, the eyes really bug me, especially the right one. I really hate how it's half-covered by the mask. D=

I don't really have much to critique about in this one. Which means a job well done for you. =D

Hehe, we-ell, the "child" is sixteen... but I'm the feeling of the shot was conveyed well.

I know, it bugs me too, but alas, it turned out better than the other shots in the bunch.

Thank you!

Ahaha! Well, TECHNICALLY, sixteen is still a child (although that is older than me.)

You're very welcome.
